Give each item a working home and a stored home
List what happens around the galley while parked: prepare food, wash items, let them dry and return them to storage. An organizer that fits a drawer while empty may not fit with utensils loaded. A basin that fits the sink may be awkward to remove through its storage door.
The five additions are task-specific alternatives and accessories, not an essential RV shopping bundle. None has been tested by us in a moving vehicle. These notes do not specify installation, loading, restraints or readiness to drive.
Dish drainer and dishpan: two footprints
The white Camco 43511 mini drainer includes a tray; it is not the black 43512 variant. Account for the whole arrangement and the dishes you intend to place in it. Do not compare the empty rack alone with the usable counter.
The Camco 43516 mini dishpan is listed as nine quarts. That is volume, not an outside width or a demonstrated amount of water saved. Check sink access and the actual stored rim dimensions. Manufacturer descriptions of coordinated products are a useful starting point, but confirm the exact versions instead of inferring nesting from their capacity labels.
Nesting bowls: count the lids
The Life Is Better at the Campsite set contains four melamine bowls and four plastic lids. Eight pieces does not mean eight bowls. Include lids when measuring the full nested stack, and check the largest rim against both the entrance and usable cupboard space.
Follow the actual use and care instructions. A material name is not permission for microwave, oven or other heat exposure. Nesting and a fitted lid also do not establish leakproof performance, load suitability or security during travel.
Colander and cutlery: check the occupied shape
The new Progressive option is the green mini collapsible colander, listed as 3.5 cups in a one-pack. It is a different item from the earlier manufacturer-only three-quart reference. Check both expanded and collapsed measurements, including its base. A small strainer may not suit the portions you actually prepare.
The OXO Compact Utensil Organizer is a drawer insert, not the expandable or knife-organizer version. Load your own utensils in a paper trial of the proposed arrangement and check the tallest handle. Non-slip feet do not certify travel retention; keep the vehicle’s instructions and appropriate secure storage arrangements separate.
Run an opening-first example
For a fictional opening 11 inches wide and 6 inches high, consider a rigid box 10.5 inches wide and 5.5 inches high. If you choose 0.25 inches of total spare per compared axis, those two opening checks pass by 0.5 inches each. That is total difference, not half an inch on every side.
The interior width, depth and height must still pass in the same orientation. A tapered bowl or collapsible item needs a conservative complete envelope for this simple rectangular tool, and the model cannot establish a diagonal maneuver or retention. Save the actual storage location in the packing list only after checking the real arrangement. A checked box is a record, not a driving-safety certificate.
