Record both configurations
An item that collapses may occupy less height when stored, but its handles, rim and other dimensions still matter. Progressive’s indexed PS-3507 colander page describes a collapsed height of one inch. That alone does not describe its whole stored envelope.
Record the complete dimensions in the configuration you intend to store, and keep use requirements separately. The fit calculator treats one rigid bounding box at a time; it does not simulate the collapse mechanism or decide whether compressing an item is appropriate.
A mounted item is not a loose bin
Camco identifies its white 57001 Pop-A-Plate as the nine-inch plate format. The plate size is not the complete dispenser size, and a listing description is not permission to mount it in an arbitrary part of an RV.
Obtain the current instructions and any required RV-specific approval before considering an installation. This site provides no drilling locations, fastener choices, surface-preparation recipe or claim that an organizer will remain secure during travel.
Keep category comparisons modest
A collapsible utensil, a loose box and a mounted dispenser solve different problems. Their inclusion in one shortlist does not mean they are interchangeable or ranked by performance. No cooking, collapse-life or vibration tests were performed here.
Choose the specific missing function and resolve the relevant documentation questions. If an existing item already works in an appropriate location, the guide does not require a replacement. The useful outcome is a clear record of what fits, what is intended and what remains unknown.
