Keep the original height meaningful
By default, the tool keeps the entered bin height vertical. It checks length-across and width-across orientations while leaving the same face upright. This is useful when you do not want a result that depends on laying the container on its side.
The optional tipped setting checks all distinct axis-aligned permutations of length, width and height. A cube has fewer distinct dimensional arrangements than a box with three different edges; duplicate shapes are removed from the table.
Permission to calculate is not permission to store
Only enable tipped orientations when they are appropriate to investigate for the actual item and contents. The software does not know whether a lid stays closed, whether something can leak or whether an object must remain upright under its instructions.
The table names which original dimension becomes width, depth and height. Keep that mapping with the result. A passing set of three numbers is easy to misread later if the orientation label has been lost from a screenshot.
A rotation is not a diagonal path
Every checked option remains aligned with the opening and cavity axes during straight insertion. The tool does not angle the bin through the doorway, bend it, open the lid or rotate it after entry. Those are different physical questions.
If only a tipped option passes, that is a reason to inspect the assumptions, not an instruction to tip the packed container. Save the result and check the exact product guidance. The simplest acceptable arrangement may be a smaller upright container rather than a more complicated maneuver.
